Let’s work together

I’m exploring new ways to share my experience and contribute beyond the clinical setting. After more than two decades practicing cancer pain and palliative medicine – leading a clinical program, teaching, and writing through years of change in the field – I’m interested in collaborating with organizations, teams, and individuals who care deeply about the quality of serious illness care.

I’m a US academic physician with deep expertise in cancer pain medicine and pharmacology, fifteen years of involvement with the NCCN Adult Cancer Pain Guidelines Panel, and a long-standing interest in how health systems actually learn and improve. I’m Polish-born, based in Philadelphia, and increasingly working across both US and European contexts.

Here are a few ways we might work together.:

🔹 Advisory & Consulting

Cancer pain medicine and pharmacology

  • Opioid pharmacology, rotation, and equianalgesic strategy
  • Opioid stewardship and risk mitigation in cancer care
  • Methadone, buprenorphine, and adjuvant analgesics in complex cancer pain
  • Neuropathic pain syndromes in oncology
  • Cannabis in cancer pain — clinical reality and evidence base
  • Pain in cancer survivorship and advanced illness
  • Translating cancer pain guidelines into practice

Supportive oncology and palliative care

  • Integrating palliative principles into oncology innovation
  • Symptom management pathways and clinical protocols
  • Goal-concordant care: frameworks and implementation
  • Communication in serious illness — clinical and product applications

Learning health systems and quality

  • Moving from static guidelines to adaptive, data-driven recommendations
  • Quality improvement in supportive oncology and cancer pain
  • Real-world evidence in symptom management

Clinical strategy for digital health and AI

  • Clinical validation and use-case fit for AI in oncology
  • Clinician-facing product design and workflow integration
  • Bridging US and European clinical perspectives for cross-border companies

I’m comfortable in formal advisory board roles, KOL engagements, and ad hoc consulting, and open to longer-term clinical advisor positions with companies whose work I believe in.

🔹 Writing & Editorial Collaboration

I write about the human side of medicine – patient-clinician communication, the emotional landscape of serious illness, the ethical dimensions of care, and the place of technology and AI in a fundamentally human profession.

Recurring themes in my work:

  • Patient-clinician communication in serious illness
  • The emotional and ethical landscape of cancer care
  • Opioids, pain, and the cultural conversations around both
  • The human side of innovation and AI in medicine

If you’re looking for a collaborator on health communications, editorial projects, or reflective writing in medicine, I’d love to hear from you.

🔹 Speaking & Workshops

I give lectures, keynotes, and interactive workshops on:

  • Cancer pain management – contemporary pharmacology and practice
  • Methadone and buprenorphine in cancer pain
  • Opioid stewardship in serious illness
  • Cannabis in cancer pain: what we know and don’t
  • Goal-concordant care: from concept to clinical practice
  • Leading difficult conversations in cancer care
  • The future of supportive oncology
  • AI and the human side of medicine
  • Narrative medicine and the clinician’s voice

Sessions can be delivered virtually or in person, and tailored for clinical teams, health system leadership, industry audiences, or interdisciplinary groups. Available in English and Polish.

Let’s Talk

If you’d like to explore working together, I welcome the conversation – whether it’s a one-time project, an ongoing advisory engagement, or simply an introductory call to see if there’s a fit. I’m especially interested in mission-aligned work that connects clinical reality with how care is designed, delivered, and improved.
